Each day, we will have a short group lesson, which we will focus on when we go back to our seats to do our independent work at our own level!
We will rotate through stations that include guided reading groups (teacher and student-led common reading lessons), independent reading (read at your own level and apply new strategies taught in the whole group and guided reading group), word work (practice work rules based on your weekly spelling/work), partner reading, computer or board reading activities, etc.
If you are interested in figuring out what level any of your books at home are, check out this website: (make sure you have marked "guided reading level")

Use the search bar to enter the book title and find the guided reading level.
Remember, it's important to ready a variety of books, not just those at a child's reading level. Finding different genres of books and books of interest is a huge piece of the learning to read puzzle. Kids who have books they love to read or have read to them, will grow their love of reading.
