CONNECT

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) partnership with Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools is called CONNECT. Kenwood Elementary is one of six Minneapolis Public Schools participating in this program. The CONNECT program is two-fold: to enhance music education in the schools and to take advantage of the arts’ proven ability to enhance learning in all curricular areas.

Through CONNECT students in grades one through five:

• attend a performance by the SPCO designed especially for students and the curriculum they are studying
• receive curriculum via a newsletter format three times throughout the school year
• enjoy visits to their classroom by SPCO musicians and cultural partners
