Ms. Crawford
Hello and welcome to fifth grade! Fifth grade is a special time and I am so excited to spend it with you!
I am Megan Crawford, you can call me Ms. Crawford. This is my first year at Kenwood but my seventh year teaching fifth grade. Students can look forward to book clubs, writer's workshops, and cross-curricular math, science, and social studies explorations. We will get out in nature, make new connections, and explore our community.
I attended the University of Minnesota where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies and Social Justice. After finishing, I moved to Istanbul, Turkey to teach at a dual language school and realized that teaching was truly the right role for me. When I returned to Minnesota, I enrolled in the Hamline University Master of Teaching program and finished in 2017.
Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are read, ride my bike, and play pickleball. I am also interested in trying every medium of art but have most recently been spending time painting with watercolors and woodcarving!
