Maureen Hunt (She/her) is starting her third year with us at Kenwood. She is excited to continue working with and our 5th graders as they learn how to play Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion or Violin.
Ms. Hunt has been teaching in Minneapolis since 2009. Outside of school she performs in a band playing Flute, Trumpet, Saxophones and providing harmony/lead vocals. She spent five years in Japan in the 1990s. Ms. Hunt loves Japanese food, and she enjoyed performing and teaching Taiko drumming while living in Japan until 2000. She likes doing yoga, making music, spending time in the great outdoors and helping young people find their musical spark!
