Meet Ms. Muñoz with her Abuelita Lali

I was born and raised in South Minneapolis, and I am so excited to be a part of the Kenwood Community and to join the 2nd grade team! 

Spring 2023, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters in Education and a minor in Racial Justice in Urban Schooling. I am deeply passionate about diverse literature and children book illustrations. 

Being a first generation college graduate with an immigrant family background, equitable and diverse education where all students feel represented is essential to my teaching philosophy. 

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy going on a walk around the lake, cooking, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.
